Do I get Certified to Inspect or Install Firestop after I take any of these courses?
No, currently there is no code requirement to be certified to do either. By taking a course and passing the quizzes, you will obtain a Certificate of Completion for the completed course and can show your Authority Having Jurisdiction or client to help add to your resume.
What’s so different about this curriculum?
These courses are not to compete with other Manufacturer and Industry trainings on the market but to help fill the void we have seen to help people take the tools previously provided to them in these trainings and put them to work in actual construction settings. These classes have been developed based on years of feedback from Installers and Inspectors requesting better real world examples of how to do their job and what things may look like once you enter this field.
